The car felt sluggish, didn´t rev above 3500 and used TONS of diesel. Check/replace CDI pressure meter. Also a common problem, but this usually gives you a fault code. Hope it helps.. There ARE 2 diesels that where in the E46 320. One older 320D with 136 hp and one newer with CDI and E-vnt turbo that gives 150 hp.
